RCMP investigate suspicious death of Cumberland House woman

Investigation has determined there was an altercation at a residence in the community.

A Cumberland House woman was pronounced deceased by EMS when taken to a local clinic.

CUMBERLAND HOUSE — RCMP are looking into the suspicious death of a Cumberland House woman who was taken to a local clinic where she was declared deceased.

According to Saskatchewan RCMP, on May 29 at approximately 11:55 p.m., Cumberland House RCMP received a report of an injured individual.

Investigation has determined there was an altercation at a residence in the community. The victim, a 24-year-old female from Cumberland House, was injured and transported to the local clinic in a private vehicle. She was pronounced deceased by EMS.

Her family has been notified. Police will not be releasing her name at this time.
