TISDALE — As of the beginning of May, the Town of Tisdale has lost about $51,000 in expected revenues due to an inability to safely rent its facilities during the pandemic.

“That number is growing every day because we’re missing out on rentals all the time,” said Brad Hvidston, Tisdale’s administrator. “[We’re] not sure where that will end up with just yet.”

In mid-April the town announced they would be working with businesses and residents who have been impacted on an individual basis with utility bills, and will not be turning water services off in the short term.

“We will also be working with businesses and residents who have been impacted on an individual basis with utility bills and will not be turning water services off in the short term,” the town said in a statement.

“Ultimately the businesses and individuals will still be responsible for those bills, but we will work on a payment schedule with them on an individual basis.”

Hvidston said that as of May 11, the town has yet to be contacted by any resident who has been impacted and asked to work out an individual payment schedule.
