Maidstone RCMP remind travelers of the importance of reporting any suspicious activity on highways and roads to police immediately.

MAIDSTONE — Maidstone RCMP say they are searching for individuals responsible for firing shots at a vehicle and are asking anyone with information to contact them.

On Feb. 13 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Maidstone RCMP responded to the report of shots fired at a vehicle travelling on Highway 16 west of Lashburn.

There were no injuries.

The vehicle was described to police as being a dark coloured one ton truck with three occupants.

Maidstone RCMP are workikng to locate and arrest the individual(s) responsible for the incident.

At this time, police believe this was not a targeted event.
