Battlefords RCMP responded to 60 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 and Friday, Oct. 23.
Thursday
• 7:28 a.m. — Report of a vehicle parked on the 500 block of 35th Street West with tires slashed and a window damaged.
• 7:43 a.m. — 2013 black Dodge Caravan with licence 946 JNX stolen from Gregory Drive overnight.
• 9:40 a.m. — Report of a lost or stolen iPhone from 1700 block of 110th Street.
• 10:35 a.m. — Change and keys stolen from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of 15th Street in Battleford during the previous night.
• 10:49 a.m. — Machinery parked overnight in the Cochin district damaged. Windows broken out.
• 11:57 a.m. — Purse reported stolen from a vehicle while parked on the 600 block of Carlton Trail.
• 5:02 p.m. — Police called to a residence on the Red Pheasant First Nation after a report of a woman threatening to kill another woman and in possession of an axe and a knife. Two very intoxicated women, 53 and 47, were located in the area of the original complaint and taken into custody. The 53-year-old woman was suffering from a suspected broken nose and was taken to hospital for treatment. Both were subsequently taken into custody. Charges are still pending and the investigation is ongoing.
• 6:45 p.m. — Six-year-old child taken to hospital with minor injuries after child was struck by a vehicle on 8th Avenue. Vehicle believed to have been travelling quite slowly at time of collision. No charges have been pursued at this time, investigation is still ongoing.
• 9:19 p.m. — Vehicle parked on the 1700 block of 110th had window damaged sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Five persons were arrested for alcohol related offences. Police also responded to three false 911 calls, three child welfare matters, seven disturbance complaints, eight traffic investigations, five minor collisions, two alarms, one fraud, three Mental Health Act complaints and four reported missing persons, who have all been located.
