The Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre are recipients of a generous donation from Splish Splash Auto RV and Pet Wash.
The donation is from a promotion in April designed to show appreciation to first responders and health care workers. Splish Splash offered free car washes in April of 255 vehicles that month, with staff washing 32 vehicles on one day.
The total cost was $3200 but according to the Food and Resource Centre, afterwards Splish Splash decided to round up the total to $4000 and donate that money to the Battleford District Food & Resource Centre, to help those struggling with food insecurity.
Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre says that “without the support from amazing local businesses like Splish Splash Auto, RV & Pet Wash, the local food bank would not be able to help the most vulnerable in our community. Splish Splash is a great example of neighbours helping neighbours.”
