MUENSTER — When students resume their education with St. Peter’s College in September, they will not have to pay any money in tuition.
The post-secondary institution decided to freeze their tuition rates due to the impacts of the pandemic for the 2020-21 academic year.
“The tuition is frozen, which is good for our students,” said Matthew Washkowsky, the college’s student services officer. “We still have our scholarships up as well, so that gives them an extra pot to dip into.”
More than $80,000 in awards, scholarships and bursaries are being offered, with applications open from May 1 to June 21.
Plans for what the next school year will look like are still being developed by the college.
St. Peter’s College is following the lead of the University of Saskatchewan, which has also decided to freeze their tuition rates for most of their programs.
