Still low COVID-19 numbers in North West for now

There have been 83 deaths so far in the North West zone.

Here are the latest numbers of COVID-19 cases for the North West zone as of Tuesday, Aug. 24.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting 4,957 total cases in the zone, with a seven-day average of daily cases of 12.

There have been 83 deaths so far in the North West zone.

As for active COVID-19 cases, those stood at 103 as of Aug. 24, up nine from the previous day. There have been 13 daily new cases on Aug. 24, up two from the previous day.

There are four hospitalized cases, and that is down one from the previous day. Recovered cases are at 4,771, up four from a day earlier.

For the various subzones, North West 4 covering the Battlefords area stood at 13 active cases but no new cases on Aug. 24. North West 1 to the north reported six active cases and no new cases. North West 3 to the east and west of the Battlefords reported 12 active cases and one new case. North West 2 including Lloydminster and area reported 72 active cases and 12 new cases.

Daily new COVID-19 tests for the region are at 80, up 20 from the previous day, for a total of 52,107 tests.

For COVID-19 Vaccines, there have been 27 new reported doses for a total of 91,131. The total fully vaccinated is 40,549.
