Two adult males from Canoe Lake Cree First Nation are deceased in an apparent homicide-suicide.
On Sept. 24 at 2:43 p.m. Beauval RCMP received a complaint of a firearm discharged at a residence on the Canoe Lake Cree First Nation.
Upon arrival, a 27-year-old male was located inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation continued and at 4:49 p.m. Sept. 25 a 30-year-old male believed to be involved in the incident was located with an apparent gunshot wound in a treed area on Canoe Lake Cree First Nation. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Autopsies will take place in Saskatoon sometime this week, dates have not been confirmed.
The two males are known to each other and their names will not be released. We are not seeking any additional suspects and there is no risk to public safety.
