Tax deadline coming up for North Battleford residents

Penalties apply after Sept. 1

City council held their latest meeting August 17.

The CIty of North Battleford is reminding residents that Aug. 31 is the due date to pay property taxes without penalty.

Effective Sept. 1 and each month thereafter to the end of the current year, the city will apply a penalty of 1.8% to any outstanding 2021 tax amounts for each month the taxes remain unpaid. These penalties will be added to the relevant tax roll.

How to Pay Your Property Taxes

  • Online – with a credit card or a debit Visa at www.cityofnb.ca/paynow (a 3% convenience fee will apply)

  • Pay at your financial institution – in person, by telephone or online banking

  • Mail your payment to City Hall – City of North Battleford, PO Box 460, S9A 2Y6

  • Secure drop box – located at the northeast door, closest to the 13th Avenue and 101st Street intersection

  • In-person at City Hall – 1291-101st Street, during business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Tax Installment Payment Plan Service (T.I.P.P.S.): You have all year to pay in easy monthly installments with no late payment penalties. Your taxes are divided into monthly payments and are paid with direct debit withdrawal. Payments are withdrawn on the 10th of each month or the next business day. If your taxes are in arrears from previous years, we encourage you to reach out to our Tax Clerk to discuss payment options. For more information about the T.I.P.P.S. program or to reach the Tax Clerk, call 306-445-1700.
