Three men accused of holding woman hostage seek bail in Meadow Lake court

A woman was allegedly held by armed individuals at a residence on the 500 block of 7 Ave. West in Meadow Lake

MEADOW LAKE – Three men accused of holding a woman against her will are seeking bail.

Corey Bouvier, 32, Kevin Bouvier, 38, and Ronald Campbell, 26, made their second appearance in Meadow Lake Provincial Court Nov. 15 and all three now have show cause hearings scheduled for Nov. 22.

The three were arrested after an alleged incident Nov. 8. According to Meadow Lake RCMP, they received a report at about 1 p.m. on that day that a woman was being held by armed individuals at a residence on the 500 block of 7 Ave. West in Meadow Lake.

RCMP enacted hold-and-secure procedures at five nearby schools as a precaution while the incident unfolded. Multiple specialized Saskatchewan RCMP units assisted Meadow Lake RCMP in arresting the three men.

When police arrived at the residence they say the occupants refused to let them in and were barricaded inside.

Corey Bouvier of Meadow Lake is charged with forcible confinement, obstruction of a peace officer, resisting arrest, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Kevin Bouvier of Meadow Lake is charged with forcible confinement, two counts of uttering threats, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.

Ronald Campbell, of Buffalo Narrows, is charged with forcible confinement, obstruction of a peace officer, and resisting arrest.

The charges against the three haven't been proven in court. 

All three had outstanding warrants at the time of their arrest.
