Three women stage armed robbery in North Battleford

RCMP say one of the three suspects produced a shotgun during the incident and struck an employee of the business with the stock.

NORTH BATTLEFORD — Battlefords RCMP are investigating an armed robbery perpetrated by three women who entered a business on 100th Street in North Battleford early Wednesday morning.

RCMP say one of the three suspects produced a shotgun during the incident, struck an employee of the business with the stock of the firearm and attempted to gain access to the till but was not successful.

The suspects then fled on foot with a small amount of merchandise from the business.

RCMP report one employee sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The robbery was called in to police at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15.
