NORTH BATTLEFORD — The City of North Battleford has released information on the recent mailing of 2022 property tax notices on July 26 and July 27.
Notices, which were delivered by CanadaPost, can be paid via several different means for property owners, according to the city.
The first is through your financial institution’s online banking.
Property owners can alternatively pay via the city’s website at cityofnb.ca. However, the city does charge a three percent convenience fee for all credit card transactions.
If online is not the most viable method, then individuals can come into city hall during their normal operating hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to pay via cash, debit or cheque.
Property taxes can also be paid for by dropping off a cheque in the locked drop-box at the doors closest to the corner of 13th Avenue and 101st Street at any time.
The last method is through signing up for the Tax Installment Payment Program (TIPPS) and making monthly payments. More information about this can be found on the city website.
Any property owners who do not receive their notice by the end of the day on July 29 are asked to contact the City of North Battleford Tax Clerk at 306-445-1706.
The city would like to remind property owners that the deadline for paying property taxes is Aug. 31. Any outstanding accounts will be charged 1.8 per cent interest per month.
