Upgrade to Sandy Beach cell service begins May 6

Service disruptions may result during construction.

From May 6 to 8, Sandy Beach wireless services may not function as expected, and they may need to rely on a landline phone to contact first responders in the event of an emergency.

SANDY BEACH — SaskTel will be replacing its existing cell site serving the Sandy Beach Regional Park with a new 5G cell site.

During construction, residents may experience temporary disruptions or degraded wireless service, including slower data speeds or reduced signal strength.

Construction will begin on the morning of May 6 and is expected to be complete by the end of day on May 8.
