Battleford RCMP responded to more than 50 calls for service between 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 and 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26.
Sunday, Sept. 25
1:05 p.m. - Report of a theft of a wallet and other personal items from a vehicle parked on the 1500 block of 94th Street sometime overnight.
1:23 p.m. - 56-year-old man arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 after report of shoplifting at a business on Railway Avenue East in North Battleford. Accused first appearance is set for Oct. 24.
6:32 p.m. - Report of a cellphone stolen from Carlton Trail.
7:44 p.m. - 36-year-old man arrested on the 1400 block of 112th Street, found in violation of a probation order.
9:04 p.m. - Police called to disturbance at a youth custody facility where two youths were arrested. A 15-year-old has been charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer and a 17-year-old has been charged with assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief. Both remain in custody and will make their first appearances in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m.
10:24 p.m. - A 28-year-old man was arrested and is facing charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08 after a vehicle stop on the Sweetgrass First Nation.
Monday, Sept. 26
3:39 a.m. - 21-year-old woman arrest for failing to comply with an undertaking after a report of a disturbance on the 300 block of 30th Street in Battleford. Accused was located on scene intoxicated and having been the source of the disturbance. Accused to be released later on this date pending a first appearance in provincial court in October.
Police arrested seven persons for alcohol related offences and responded to 12 traffic matters, one false/nuisance 911 call, six disturbance calls, two mental health matters, four child welfare complaints, two noise/bylaw matters, two alarms and one minor collision.
