“BUH Foundation has received the Re/Max of the Battlefords generosity.

Ray Hickson has received yet another prestigious and distinguished honour. Hickson’s work as a North Battleford commissionaire has been honoured by the corps with a Distinguished Service Medal.

Between April 24 and April 30, Maidstone RCMP Detachment and Enhanced Policing Unit stopped several vehicles for a variety of traffic infractions. April 26, a car travelling at 148 km/h on Highway 16 near Marshall was stopped.

It remained an uncertain funding situation for The Lighthouse Serving the Battlefords as of the last week of April.

Friday, April 29, the Maidstone RCMP were contacted regarding a break and enter to a business on the outskirts of Lloydminster in the rural municipality of Wilton. The building was secured, but entry was forced through a window.

Another large grassfire, this one in the RM of North Battleford, brought out a full response from North Battleford Fire Department. The blaze happened northwest of the 19th Tee location on Thursday at around 3:52 pm.

INNISFAIL, Alta. –Thirteen puppies born at the RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre now have names, thanks to boys and girls representing every province and territory in Canada.
