Access Communications announced they will broadcast the North American Indigenous Games.
Events will be carried both on Access 7 and will be streamed online at www.myaccess.ca/naig. The streaming content is freely available to everyone as Access wants to make it possible for anyone, no matter where they are, to be able to cheer for their athletes.
Access will offer over 50 hours of programming including sports, cultural entertainment, live coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies, a daily wrap up show, as well as spotlights on athletes and their stories.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us to really tell the story of these games and their importance to Saskatchewan" said Jim Deane, President and CEO of Access Communications. "It is a unique chance to celebrate First Nations and Metis athletes from all across Canada, and we're very proud to be providing free streaming access to content in order for anyone to be able to follow the games."
Coverage starts on July 20 with the live opening ceremonies at 2 p.m., and a complete schedule is available at www.myaccess.ca/naig. The opening and closing ceremonies as well as the daily wrap-up show are partnered productions with the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and you can learn more about APTN at www.aptn.ca.
