New Horizons hit the links the morning of Thursday, Sept. 4 for their weekly golf tournament.Twenty-four members participated on this beautiful morning.
First place was taken by the foursome of Lyle and Jutta Whitbread and Faye and Brian Erickson.Second place went to Dale Cain, Dianne Cain, Don Murray and Don Dill, while Art Strueby, Ken Schwab, John Yarske and Ali Raycraft finished in third.
The consolation was the team of John Chomyn, Sid Waters, Jim Fraser and Nester Brunwald.
Sid Waters won the closest to the pin on No. 8, while Jim Fraser took home the longest putt and the Battleford and District Car Wash.
The New Horizons windup is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 29 with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m., followed by Supper at 5 p.m.Cost will be $20, paid in advance to Jack Goodwin.
