A new streak has begun.
The Humboldt Broncos started off another win-streak by recording two over the Flin Flon Bombers on a northern road trip last weekend.
The Broncos' previous win streak, which stretched to 17 games, had ended with a loss to Melfort the weekend before.
In Flin Flon, nothing seemed to shake the boys from Humboldt in their first game on January 27.

Flin Flon got another point to bring the game to 5-2. And that was all she wrote for scoring, as both teams turned their attention away from it in the third period.
Penalties, which had been extremely light in the first two periods, were handed out left and right in the third. The Broncos earned five of their six penalties in the game during the last 20 minutes, and the Bombers got six of their 11 in that same time frame.
Two fights broke out in the last period - the first at 10:10 of the third, between Logan Sproule of the Broncos and Bomber Brock Hounsed. Each got five minutes for fighting and a game misconduct.
Tanner Clark of the Bombers got a 10-minute misconduct at 11:08, the same time his teammate Dyland McNab got two minutes for interference, but Clark was back on the ice to drop gloves with Bronco Glowa at 12:49. Again, both got five minutes for fighting and game misconducts.
Despite the penalties, the Bombers were able to out-shoot the Broncos 14 to eight in the third period, though overall, Humboldt out-shot Flin Flon 41 to 24.
On the power play, the Broncos were three for five, while the Bombers were zero for two.

The next night, January 28, Humboldt was back at the Whitney Forum to face the Bombers again. And again, they skated away with a big victory, this time 7-2.
Their first point came early in the first period, just a minute after Andrew Johnston was awarded a tripping penalty.
The short-handed goal was scored at 1:43 by Adam Zbitniff. Assists went to Robbie Ciolfi and Kameron Ballas.
Flin Flon answered back early in this contest with a goal at 14:05, but the Broncos made it a 2-1 game with a goal at 15:08, scored by Taylor Duzan and assisted by Johnston and Mathew Backhouse.
In the second, the Broncos kept finding holes in the Flin Flon defence and capitalizing on them.
Thirteen seconds in, Duzan got his second goal of the night, assisted by Johnston.

At 9:11, Humboldt made it a 5-1 game with a goal by Taylor Johnson, assisted by Matt Glowa and Ciolfi.
Flin Flon got one more on the board at 16:14, but the Broncos quickly answered that goal with two of their own - one on a power play at 17:32, scored by Johnston, and assisted by Duzan and John Lawrence, and the second by Landry at 18:48. Assists went to Zbitniff and Ballas.
Again, there was no scoring in the third, but on this night, there were also very few penalties. Humboldt earned just six in total, with one of those in the third. For Flin Flon, they got just five throughout the game. All penalties were minor.
Humboldt was one for three on the power play, while Flin Flon was zero for three, but the Broncos blasted the Bombers on shots on goal, 48 to 22 over three periods.
