BVC finish top eight in Sask Cup event

The Battleford VC Fusion finished seventh in Tier 1 of the 15U women's Subway Sask Cup No. 2 tournament held in Saskatoon last weekend. BVC defeated the Regina QCVC Black to earn their position.

The Battleford VC Fusion finished seventh in Tier 1 of the 15U women's Subway Sask Cup No. 2 tournament held in Saskatoon last weekend.

BVC defeated the Regina QCVC Black to earn their position.

In a battle of Regina clubs, the Junior Cougars downed the RVC Gold 2-0 (26-24, 25-23) in the gold medal match. The Cougars placed third at the first Sask Cup event in February, a tournament that was won by the RVC Gold.

The Rose Valley Volleyball Club beat the Saskatoon Junior Huskies 2-1 (21-25, 25-22, 15-13) to claim the bronze medal.

The 15U women are in action next for the Conexus Provincial Volleyball Championship May 2 in Saskatoon and Warman.

In other Sask Cup news, North Battleford is hosting the 14U women's Subway Sask Cup No. 2 March 29 and 30. Matches featuring 24 teams will take place at the NationsWEST Field House over the two days.
