The John Paul II Crusaders opened their football regular season in Warman Friday night.

The game did not get off to a great start for the Crusaders as Warman scored on four of their first five possessions.

JP II's offence worked hard to keep the Crusaders in the game. They moved the ball well throughout the game and were able to find the end zone three times for majors. In the end, Warman's offence was too strong for a struggling Crusader defence. Warman went on to defeat the Crusaders by a final score of 48-20.

John Paul II will spend this week addressing the defensive problems as they prepare for their home opener Friday against Meadow Lake. Game time is 5 p.m. at Beaver Lions Stadium.
