At 7:42 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, Battlefords RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle rollover on the main grid of Red Pheasant First Nation.
The driver of the minivan, a 30-year-old woman from Mosquito First Nation, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses advised that a passenger had also been in the vehicle and left the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Members located the 30-year-old male passenger of the vehicle at a residence on Red Pheasant First Nation.
Mosquito First Nation and Red Pheasant First Nation, where the passenger lives, are communities that border each other, approximately 30 kilometres south of the Battlefords.
Battlefords RCMP and an RCMP collision reconstructionist from Prince Albert continue to investigate.
