Dominic Perrault, former Battlefords North Star defenceman and current Estevan Bruin, has been known for a physical style of hockey and now there is a reward in place for that.

Perrault, the Bruins and Packers Plus Energy Services have teamed up to raise money for Impact Society. For every hit Perrault makes on home ice this season Packers Plus will donate $75 to the Impact Society.

"Impact Society is fast becoming Canada's national centre of excellence for strength-based community development. Impact Society offers the first and only nation-wide experiential-learning program that turns teachers, students, parents, even whole companies and other partners into everyday heroes," states the Impact Society website (impactsociety.com).

An identical program has been running with the Calgary Flames since Oct. 2009. Robyn Regehr has been donating $75 for every hit he has delivered and that has been matched by Packers Plus Energy Services. The total donated to Impact Society is now over $7,000 for Regehr's efforts.

The Battlefords North Stars don't have another game in Estevan this season, but the Bruins do have 12 more home games in January and February.
