Humboldt Broncos to face Flin Flon Bombers in next playoff round

HUMBOLDT — The next opponent in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs for the Humboldt Broncos has been determined.

They will face the Flin Flon Bombers in the semi-finals. The other set of semi-finals feature Estevan and Yorkton.

In four games between Flin Flon and Humboldt this regular season, the Bombers went two-and-two, playing all four games in an eight-day span in late November and early December. The Broncos and Bombers each split a pair of away and home games, with Humboldt needing a shootout to beat Flin Flon at the Whitney Forum Dec. 3. In those four games, the Broncos took four, while the Bombers earned five points.

Game 1 will be held at Humboldt's Elgar Petersen Arena on Friday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m., while Game 2 will at the EPA on Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m.
