It was a great weekend for high school track and field athletes.
Provincial Track and Field Championships were held in Saskatoon June 1-2.
Fourteen Horizon Central Athletic Association athletes won 17 individual medals - including five gold medals. The relay teams also did well, with four of the HCAA teams winning medals.
Overall, HCAA athletes showed their excellent track and field skills, with the district finishing fourth out of 14 districts. This is a huge accomplishment for being one of the smallest districts in the province.
