MELFORT — An assistant coach with the Melfort Mustangs is stepping down. He will be replaced with a familiar face to the team.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League team said Trevor Logan resigned due to family and an increase in work obligations. He joined the Mustangs to begin the 2019-20 season and has been with the team through the last two-and-a-half seasons.

Dan Meyers will be returning behind the bench for the remainder of the season. He had previously served as assistant coach for four seasons from 2015 to 2019, winning one Canalta Cup, and making another SJHL final.

“The change behind the bench will not change the goals of the Melfort Mustangs for this season as we push towards the playoffs,” said Mustangs President Jordan Lee in a media release.

“It will be good to see a familiar face to the Mustangs organization behind the bench as we move through this season. The Mustangs would like to thank Trevor for his time behind the bench with the club and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
