Masks are required if you want to go to an SJHL game.

NORTH BATTLEFORD - Those attending Friday night's exhibition game between the Battlefords North Stars and Nipawin Hawks at Access Communications Centre are going to need a mask.

That is as a result of the imposition of new provincial mask mandates to counter the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. Masks will be required by all patrons effective immediately, according to the North Stars' Facebook feed.

Soon, North Stars fans will require either proof of vaccination or a negative test result to be able to attend all SJHL games. That will take effect on Oct. 1.

The game begins at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
