The Meota Combines enjoyed a successful regular season, finishing in third place with a 13-3-0-2 record.
Recently they fell to the Edam Three Stars in game four of the second round, losing by a score of 5-4.
The Combines fought for their season, and leading scorer Brett Miller did all he could with a three point night. He finished with two goals and an assist last Friday. Brody Tatchell had a big night as well, scoring a goal while adding two helpers in the loss.
Miller followed up his regular season with 12 points in seven games over the course of the playoffs.
Levin Floen rounded out the scoring with his first of the postseason.
On the other side it was Brody Roach and Damon Schaefer who ultimately did the Combines in, tallying two point nights with a goal and an assist each.
The Combines came into the playoffs winning 9 of their last 12 games, and were looking to go one step further than last year, where they lost in the SPHL finals.
Aside from Miller, who finished with with 22 goals and 17 assists, Meota enjoyed a nice spark of offence this season. Branden Sentes finished second on the team in points after only playing nine games. He ended the campaign with 16 goals and 9 assists, while Michael Pylypow had 12 goals and 12 assists in 18 games.
Tatchell had a solid outing in the playoffs for the Combines, scoring three goals while adding seven assists in three games played.
The offseason is now here for Meota, who will no doubt look to grow and develop their team, taking one step forward toward an SPHL championship.
