Before the weekend, the longest winning streak of the season for the Battlefords North Stars was nine games.

After three games in three nights through Melville, Yorkton and Melfort, the North Stars matched, and then passed, their previous mark and now have won 11 straight games and are 20-1-0-1 in their last 22.

As hot as the team has been, so too has been forward Blake Tatchell, as he extended his point streak to 21 games after earning two goals and an assist Friday in Melville. Tatchell now leads the SJHL with 58 points in 33 games following the weekend road trip.

The North Stars trailed the Millionaires 2-1 after the first period, as Brody Luhning scored for the North Stars from Tatchell and Woody Klassen on the power play late in the first period.

The North Stars scored four straight goals, three in the second period, to earn the 5-2 win.

Tatchell scored his 28th and 29th goals of the season while Kyle Hall added his seventh, which held up to be the game-winning goal. Braeden Johnson scored his 14th of the season. Klassen and Luhning each had three assists on the night while Tanner Schwab and Brett Miller both had single helpers.

Ian McNulty and Russell Trudeau were the goal scorers for Melville.

The North Stars power play was effective going 3/5 on the night while Melville was 1/5. Former North Stars' property Blake Voth was in net for the Millionaires and faced 36 shots in the loss.

Connor Creech earned his 10th win of the season and remains second in the league in save percentage at .909.

Saturday, Tatchell's point streak came to an end, but the North Stars winning streak did not. Hall scored from Klassen and Zach MacLellan in the first period and the North Stars added two goals in the second to earn the 3-0 shutout over the Terriers.

Rollins scored his 11th of the season from Newton and Klassen scored unassisted for the insurance markers.

Hildebrand earned his league leading fourth shutout with a 21-save performance.

The North Stars capped off the road trip with a 4-1 win in Melfort Sunday.

Hildebrand was in net once again and made 16 saves for the win while the North Stars fired 37 shots at Patrick Johnson.

Klassen scored from Hall five minutes into the game and nearly 10 minutes later Hall scored from Travis Sparrow.

Melfort's Steven Jean scored the lone goal of the second period on a power play, and the North Stars added some insurance in the third period with Schwab's eighth of the season on a power play from Hall and MacLellan. Johnson scored from Tatchell and Klassen to finish out the road trip, as the North Stars prepare for their next game, Thursday at home against Yorkton.

The Terriers entered the game with a 15-13-0-1 record while the North Stars are 26-5-0-2. This will be the final time the Terriers are in North Battleford for a regular season game this season
