The North Battleford Comprehensive High School Vikings looked to get back in the win column against Prince Albert Carlton, but that wasn't the case Friday.

Under the lights of Beaver Lions Stadium in North Battleford, the Vikings fell 23-15 to Prince Albert.

The Vikings had a touchdown run by quarterback Cody Buziak, but that came after NBCHS trailed 14-0 to start the second quarter. Buziak's scored pulled the game to 14-7, but Prince Albert looked strong the rest of the way earning their second win against Saskatoon Secondary Schools Athletic Directorate league teams.

Fortunately for the Vikings, Prince Albert Carlton will not be matched up against the Vikings for playoffs and the provincial run because the Vikings are a 3A football team while Prince Albert Carlton is a 4A team.

Two of the Vikings four losses this season have come against 4A teams, Prince Albert Carlton and Prince Albert St. Mary's.

The Vikings will finish the season against 3A teams Bishop James Mahoney and Mount Royal. Friday, the Vikings will play their final home game of the season against the first place, and 5-0, Bishop James Mahoney Saints. The final game is against the last place Mount Royal Mustangs Thursday, Oct. 20.

The Vikings playoff run will begin Oct. 26 in Saskatoon, as they look to move from the fifth spot in the standings and wait to see who their first round opponents will be.
