It was a fine Monday morning when the New Horizons, all 39 of them took to the course.
It was easy determining who were the winners as the scores were 36, 37 and 38. In first place, no big surprise, were Bruce Dalshaug, Frank Simpson, Dale Cane and Jim Fraser. Then came the team of Don Murray, Bruce Chadwick, Jim Taylor and Nester Brunwald. The third place balls go to Don Beggs, John Dove, Brodie Partington and Iris Thompson.
A couple of strokes back were the consolation winners of Erwin Temple, Don Dill and the McNabbs. It's not known who was the closest to the pin on eight, nor who had the longest putt on nine, as the markers were not turned in. Someone will be out a ball and someone a car wash courtesy the Co-op.
Next week there will be no golfing on Monday because of the Wayne Pruden tournament, but they will be playing June 6 with the first tee time at 8:30 a.m.
