The Battlefords North Stars have sent 20-year-old Adam Smith to the Maritime Hockey League's Miramichi Timberwolves for future considerations.
The Nanaimo, B.C, native recorded three points in 13 games with the North Stars this season, with two goals and one assist, to go along with 49 penalty minutes.
Smith now adds the MHL to his already extensive list of junior hockey leagues, as he has now played in six different leagues.
He began his junior hockey career in the 2010-11 season with his hometown Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League, before playing for three different Western Hockey League teams.
He also played Junior B for the Nanaimo Buccaneers, and headed east to the Superior International Junior Hockey League in Ontario, suiting up for 28 games with the Dryden Ice Dogs.
The 6'3" forward was acquired by the North Stars in June.
