NSRBL teams continue to clinch playoff spots

The Lloydminster Meridian Twins remain perfect in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League after winning 18-0 in Edam. The Twins were up early and showed no mercy as they dropped Edam to 2-8 on the season. The Twins are 12-0.

Also on Tuesday night, the second place Lloydminster Junior Redhawks won in convincing fashion with a 10-0 win in Unity over the Cardinals. The Juniors are locked into a playoff spot with an 11-1 record. Unity remains a few wins away from clinching a playoff spot, but sit seventh with a 5-4 record.

Wilkie stays in third place, as they picked up their eighth win of the season in Kindersley. Nick Pernitsky hit a home run while Cody Wilgenbusch earned the win.

Wednesday night, Standard Hill hosted and beat the winless Lloydminster Midget Twins 11-9.

The second game Wednesday had the Border City Blue Jays official clinch a playoff spot with a 9-5 win over the Midwest Expos.

Meadow Lake has also clinched a playoff spot last week with a 8-3 record.
