The Muenster Midget AAA Red Sox are Western Canadian Champions.

After a devastating loss in the provincial final on July 23 the Red Sox were able to rebound terrifically, capping off their season with a 3-0 win over the Bonivital Blacksox in the final.

The Aug. 10-13 Western Canadian championships got off to a slow start for the Red Sox as they were beaten 7-0 by the Blacksox.

Needing to get hot to have a chance at playing in the championship final the Red Sox came alive knocking off the Saskatoon Diamondbacks 7-3 and the Langley Blaze 6-1.

The Red Sox could not keep their streak going in their fourth round robin contest however, as they were beaten by the Sherwood Park Athletics 4-1.

With no choice but to win their final round robin contest in order to book their spot in the finals the Red Sox’s bats came alive as they pounded out 11 runs en route to an 11-1 demolition of the Carillon Sultans.

The win moved the Red Sox into the championship final were they knocked off the Blacksox 3-0 in a rematch of their round robin opener.

Logan Hofmann was terrific on the mound for the Red Sox as he pitched a one hitter to pick up the victory.

The win capped off an excellent season for the Red Sox.
