Settlers knocked off top of standings

Glen Heidt was the winning goalie while Mat Leitner suffered the loss.

Battleford's goals came from Devin Esquirol and Roddy Hoffman with two each and singles from Cody Bartusek, Pete Chandler, Dillon Friesen, Todd Heck, Brett Michnik, Les Taylor, Blaine Weber and Mike Whitwell.

Kenton Albert and Mark Kelloway scored for the Settlers.

Tuesday, Maymont was in Radisson and their frustration started to show, as the lost helped the Wheat Kings take sole possession of first place. Radisson sits at 5-2-0. The Settlers are 4-2-0.

Saulteaux fell to 0-3-0 while losing 16-0 in Radisson. Jade Boklaschuk and Dylan Yaremko had hat tricks and Dana Derbowka, Trevor Duchak and Jonathan McIntosh had two goals each. Kenton Haugrud, Payden Jonescu and Luke Walker chipped in with one goal each.

Rob Kostyk was the winning goalie and Kyle Checkosis suffered the loss.

Thursday, the 2-4-0 Beaver Blues hosted Saulteaux.
