It was a rare mid-week game for the Battlefords AAA Sharks, as they were in Prince Albert Wednesday.
The Sharks held the Bears off the scoreboard for the first period and struck first blood in the second with Jetta Derenoski scoring from Malory Roy and Jamie Fedler.
Derenoski, an affiliated player was credited with her first goal as a Shark.
Prince Albert responded with two goals in the second period, including a power play goal.
In the third period, the Bears scored four times while the Sharks scored once. Shania Rhinehart scored her second goal of the season from Tori Bonnett and Kendra Gerbig.
Jacy Akre faced 53 shots in the loss while Jessica Vance stopped 21 shots for the win.
The Sharks are back in action Saturday and Sunday in Swift Current. The Sharks faced Swift Current last weekend, as the Wildcats won 2-0 and 2-1.
