If there’s one thing Battlefords hockey teams seem to have in common lately, it’s their troubles beating Weyburn.
The second game of the weekend tilt between the Battlefords Sharks and Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings ended with the Sharks unable to find a way to beat Wings goalie Chantal Burke.
Weyburn scored one in the first, a power play goal in the second and two in the third, including an empty net marker, for a 4-0 final score to complete a weekend sweep.
Shelby Tornato stopped 32 of 35 shots in net for the Sharks.
The Sharks continue on the road this coming weekend as they face the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats Nov. 14 and 15.
