The Battlefords AAA Sharks named a new board of directors at their annual general meeting Tuesday evening at North Battleford Comprehensive High School.
Sherry Fraser was named as the board's chairperson. Kathy Harper was elected secretary. Darren Norel and Donna Lonoway were chosen as directors at large.
The Battlefords Minor Hockey Association representative, parent representatives and treasurer are still to be determined.
The new board acknowledged the work of the previous board comprised of Daryl Sperling and Morley Dixon. They also thanked NBCHS principal Lyndon Heinemann for more than 20 years of service in female hockey.
It was a year of transition for the Sharks. They were amalgamated into the BMHA prior to the start of last season after a SHA ruling a city was allowed only one minor hockey association. They acknowledged it will be a "huge" year for the club as they continue the transition.
