Sinclair, Form earn SJHL Player of Week honors

As the Battlefords North Stars move ever closer to winning a Canalta Cup, two standout players from the club received leaguewide Player of the Week honors for their Finals performances in the first two games.

As the Battlefords North Stars move ever closer to winning a Canalta Cup, two standout players from the club received leaguewide Player of the Week honors for their Finals performances in the first two games.

MacGregor Sinclair was named SJHL Player of the Week for a strong first two games of the finals. He had a goal and assist in the first game and three goals and four assists throughout the playoffs as of Monday. Braydon Buziak was the runner-up in the category.

The Rookie of the Week honor went to Noah Form, who scored first in the Cup finals on Friday and had two goals and two assists through the first two games of the final series. Dylan Esau was runner-up in this category.

The other categories saw two Melfort Mustangs players receive honors. Defenseman of the Week honors went to Jake Hobson who scored in both games one and two of the finals. The other honor went to Shawn Parkinson for his game two shutout, earning him Goaltender of the Week honors.
