The Battlefords Skating Club sent five members to Bonnyville, Alta. for a regional open competition and the results were as good as they could be for the five representative from the local club.
Kira Tollefson finished second in the pre preliminary division, as Kassie Reid was first in that division.
At the preliminary and junior bronze level, Cortni Millhouse, Amy Reid and Corrine Sokul earned first place finishes.
The club also recently hosted a test day with all who competed passing and this weekend several more skaters will be in Lloydminster for tests.
Monday, the club will have a tech specialist on the ice with them monitoring the girls, as part of the final events before they break for Christmas.
The major event the club and its nearly 18 senior skaters ranging from the age of 10 to university students, are looking forward to is the Saskatchewan STARSkate Championships, which will be held in the Battlefords Jan. 27 to 29.
