Fans who have had to put up with the lousy sound at Battlefords North Stars games at the Civic Centre won't have to wait long for an improvement.
Administration confirmed at Monday's City of North Battleford Planning Committee meeting that the new sound system at the Civic Centre will go in Oct. 27 and 28.
The Civic Centre will be closed both days. Those dates have been set aside for the installation, in part because the North Stars are on the road those days.
The existing sound system is more than 20 years old, but has not been working properly for some time, with people in the arena having difficulty figuring out what the public address announcer is saying.
