The Battlefords won't have a shortage of hockey this season, especially with the recently announced expansion of the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League.
The SPHL has added a ninth and 10th team to its league this season in the Meota Combines and Shellbrook Silvertips.
The Combines will play their 10 home games at the Civic Centre. Just across the bridge, the Battleford Arena will host nine games from the Battleford Beaver Blues, which makes for a hockey-filled winter.
