Annual Sweet Heart Tournament will be underway in the Battlefords. The female hockey tournament is presented by the Battlefords Blues rec hockey team.

Saskatchewan Arm Wrestling Association will host a circuit tournament event. Weigh-ins start at 11 a.m. with the tournament starting at 2 p.m. There are men, women and youth categories and several different weight classes.

Battlefords Bantam A Barons will play Stanley Mission in provincial action in Battleford. Game time is 2:15 p.m.

North Saskatchewan River Hockey League has one playoff game scheduled. The third place St. Walburg Eagles will play the sixth place Turtleford Tigers. Game time is 8:30 p.m.

Battleford Curling Club and North Battleford Granite Curling Club present Valentine's 'Cinnamon Heart' Couples Spiel. Entry fee is $100 per team and includes a steak supper. Contact Margo at the curling club for more information.

Meota Curling Club will be holding a couples bonspiel. The entry fee is $120 and includes supper. The deadline to register is Feb. 16. Call Gwen at 892-4606.

Battlefords North Stars will host their annual Jackfish Lake Ice Fishing Derby. Fishing starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. The cost is $60 a hole if purchased before derby date. A second hole is $20. There is over $200,000 worth in prizes.
