The Battlefords AAA Stars held their annual general meeting at the Alex Dillabough Centre following a successful season for the club.
The Stars finished second in the SMAAAHL, earning home-ice advantage in the first two rounds of the playoffs.
"It's nice to see the Civic Centre with that many people to watch our team play," said chairperson Bruce Yockey, who was given another term by the board.
Stars head coach Martin Smith acknowledged the development of his players. Forward Josh Bly led the SMAAAHL in assists during the regular season with 44.
Smith also said forward Josh LaFramboise signed with Pentincton of the BCHL. He also previously accepted a scholarship to the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
LaFramboise was also drafted in the fifth round by the USHL's Des Moines Buccaneers.
"The biggest accomplishment you'll see is the kids that we move onto the next level," said Yockey. "I think out of this group here you're going to see a lot of them. That's the league's model and that's our model."
Yockey said the team has to keep "pounding the pavement" to continue the success of the organization.
"I think with this group here and everybody working together, I don't see why we can't keep on moving this program.
Parents and players have been calling the Stars to ask about playing for the team, which Yockey said is nice to see after having to take the players who were cut from other teams in the league.
The Stars also announced athletic therapist Ryon Haggard will not return to the team next season.
