The Battlefords were shut out 3-0 against the fourth place Yorkton RawTec Maulers last night.
Both teams battled in the first, recording ten shots each.
Damien Bentz, who is second in the SMAAAHL in points, opened the scoring in the second, five minutes in. He would later add an empty net mark after Tristyn DeRoose made it a two-goal lead for Yorkton.
Stars goalie Lance Alm had a busy but effective night in net, making 24 of 26 saves.
The Stars did have their chances throughout the game, but were unable to convert on eleven power play opportunities.
They are now 6-6-0-2 on the season
