The Unity Midgets had everything clicking for them Monday night on the Battleford Flats.
The ladies' offence was working to perfection as they beat the Survivors 16-1 in Battleford Ladies' Fastball League action.
It wasn't just the bats working for them, the pitching was spectacular, too. The Midgets were able to pound the strike zone with ease, which led to quick innings on defence.
The Survivors got a strong pitching performance of their own, but the Midgets were able to consistently put up a couple runs each inning, which added up. Aggressive base running played a big role, as the Midgets were able to get their share of extra bases any time the ball got away from the catcher.
Over in Maidstone the Iron Maidens beat the Battlefords Bantams 5-1.
It's quick turn around for the teams as they're back in action Wednesday.
