Vikings, Crusaders win on the road

The North Battleford ComprehensiveHigh School Vikings were on the road for their latest matchup in football action.
The Vikings took on PA Carlton in Prince Albert on Thursday, and emerged with a 29-23 victory.
The win moves the Vikings to 1-1 on the season. They head into action again Friday, Sept. 25 at Beaver Lions Stadium against St. Joseph Guardians, game time 6:30 pm.
In other Saskatoon High School Football League action on Thursday, Tommy Douglas beat Bedford Road 55-27, Bethlehem beat MR/BR 50-0, and Holy Cross pounded Evan Hardy 44-15. All games were at Saskatoon Minor Football Field.
Games on Friday included Bishop Mahoney losing 38-3 to Aden Bowman, Walter Murray and PA St. Mary ending in a 19-19 tie, and Marion Graham over St. Joseph 29-16.
In 9-man football action, the John Paul II Crusaders were on the road taking on Meadow Lake on Friday and thumped them by a final score of 32-0.
The Crusaders' next action is Thursday at 4 p..m against Kindersley, at home.
