With a golf scholarship in hand Tayden Wallin is making the most of his summer on the links as he captured the MJT Golf Saskatchewan OOM Series presented by Ilta Grain at Chinook GC low overall and MJT Junior Boys title’s.

The July 1-2 tournament in Swift Current, featured eight golfers competing in the junior boys event.

Wallin kicked off the tournament with a one over 73, leaving himself in a three-way tie for first.

On day two of the tournament Wallin left nothing up to chance as he fired a blistering three under 69 to win the junior boys tournament and the overall title by four strokes, as he finished with a two under par with a 142.

The win pushed Wallin to the top of the Maple Leaf Junior Gold Tour’s Clevelane Golf Order of Merit Junior Boys ranking as he holds 300 points, 75 more than second place Jacob Kydd from Regina.

Wallin will continue his summer of golf before heading to Texas in the fall for his freshman season at Midwestern State University where he will join their golf program.
