The Weyburn Leisure Centre was busy on the weekend, as synchronized swimmers from clubs across Saskatchewan gathered for the Marnie Eistetter Figures Meet.

A handful of North Battleford Water Doves joined swimmers from Saskatoon, Regina, Weyburn, Yorkton and Estevan in the different age division.

Courtney Roberts of the North Battleford club placed third in the 10U figures event. Fellow Water Dove Emma Kowalski also competed in the 10U division and placed 20th.

In the 13-15PS figures event, Breah Weber placed 12th while Kylie Burnett was 14th, Jenna Parker was 20th and Jolie Bossaer was 21st.

The Water Doves have a long break now between major events, as the next meet is the Diane Lemon Invitational in Saskatoon.

Along with the meet in Weyburn on the weekend, it was also the Synchro Sask annual banquet and although some members from the Waters Doves were nominated in the athlete, coach and volunteer categories they didn't receive any provincial awards this year.
