SJHL: The Battlefords North Stars were on the road for three games in three nights and continued their winning streak with three wins.The North Stars won 5-2 in Melville Friday, 3-0 in Yorkton Saturday and Sunday, they won 4-1 in Melfort.

SJHL: The Battlefords North Stars were on the road for three games in three nights and continued their winning streak with three wins.The North Stars won 5-2 in Melville Friday, 3-0 in Yorkton Saturday and Sunday, they won 4-1 in Melfort.The North Stars streak now sits at 11 straight wins as they are 26-5-0-2 this season.

SMAAAHL: The Battlefords Midget Stars hosted Regina twice on the weekend. The Stars won 3-2 Sunday for their third win of the season, but lost 5-2 Saturday at the Civic Centre.

SFMAAAHL: The Sharks had two good games at the Battleford Arena on the weekend, but came up just short in both. Saturday, the Sharks lost to Swift Current 2-0 and Sunday they lost 2-1.

SPHL: There were two games on the schedule Friday. The Battleford Beaver Blues beat Cut Knife 7-1 while Saulteaux beat Hafford 8-6.Saturday, Maymont beat Saulteaux 9-6.

NSRHL: St. Walburg stayed perfect on the season with their seventh win. They beat Meadow Lake 3-2 Friday night. Turtleford beat Wilkie 5-4 and Paradise Hill beat Spiritwood 7-2.There were also two other games on the weekend, but the scores were not yet recorded.

SBAAHL: The Battlefords Phoenix Sports Bantam AA Barons beat Prince Albert 8-3 and Humboldt 8-2 on the weekend.

High school basketball: THe NBCHS boys second game of the the Bowlt Classic in Saskatoon was a 68-52 win over Bethleham. The NBCHS boys also beat St. Joseph 88-74 to advance to their first place playoff with Tommy Douglas. Saturday evening, the Vikings won 73-52 to capture gold.

The girls second game of the tournament was Friday afternoon in which they won 63-13 over Marion Graham. Saturday morning the Vikings won 61-36 to advance to the final. In the championship game NBCHs beat Walter Murray 70-34.
