The Battlefords North Stars extended their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League winning streak to 13 games after beating Yorkton 4-3 in overtime Thursday and Weyburn 6-3 Saturday.

The Battlefords North Stars extended their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League winning streak to 13 games after beating Yorkton 4-3 in overtime Thursday and Weyburn 6-3 Saturday.The streak ended for the North Stars Sunday night, as they lost 5-0 in Humboldt.

The Battlefords AAA Sharks also had a streak come to an end Sunday. The Sharks won 1-0 in Swift Current for their first win of the season.Saturday, the Sharks fell 3-2 to Swift Current.

In Tisdale Sunday, the Battlefords Midget Stars also earned a win, as they beat the Trojans 4-2. The Stars lost 8-4 Saturday night to Tisdale.

In the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League, Glaslyn won 4-3 over Hafford Saturday while Perdue doubled up the Cut Knife Colts 8-4 and Maymont edged Radisson 4-3.Radisson also won 5-4 over Hafford Friday and Maymont won 5-2 over Cut Knife.

In North Saskatchewan River Hockey League action on the weekend, Edam beat Maidstone 5-4 while St. Walburg beat Spiritwood 3-1 Friday night.Saturday, St. Walburg beat Edam 13-3, Wilkie won over Turtleford 6-3 and Meadow Lake beat Paradise Hill 11-3.Sunday, Maidstone beat Wilkie 3-2.

In bantam AA hockey, the Barons were in Prince Albert for a 20-team tournament and although the final word isn't in yet, the Barons had a successful weekend.Sunday, they went up against the Saskatoon Maniacs with the winner advancing to the championship game against either Weyburn of the Prairie Storm.

In bantam house acton, both Barons teams won on home ice Sunday. Rosetown lost to coach Nolin's team while Stynsky's Barons won against EEL, after losing in Kerrobert Saturday.
